i'm always attracted to grimm's fairy tales...and adrienne adams' (a twice over caldecott runner up) illustrations are simply wonderful. former library copy.

ahhhhh....I HAD to write and tell you that I too have this wonderful book and it has a v.special place in my heart . I bought it for 1$ in 2007 on my one and only trip to new york ,in the cutest little bookshop on staten island (it was in the back of a community run performance space) I love your blog ....hello !
